Privacy policy

• Account: name, email, password (stored hashed), area, the services you offer, headline and bio.
• Content you post: listings, posts, comments, stories, photos, videos and messages.
• Bookings and payments: what you booked or sold, amounts, fees and payout requests. Card details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
• Arrangements (website only, 18+): the dating profile you choose to create, including age, gender and who you want to meet.
• Device and usage: push notification tokens (apps), IP address and basic logs for security and fraud prevention.

• To run the service you signed up for — matching, bookings, payments, chat and notifications (contract).
• To keep people safe — moderation, reports, blocking, fraud and abuse prevention (legitimate interests; legal obligation).
• To keep financial records we are required to keep (legal obligation).
• To send you notifications you can switch off in your phone settings (consent / legitimate interests).

We don't sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Other members see what you publish (your profile, posts, stories, listings) and messages you send them. We use these processors to run Pursuers:

• Vercel (hosting), our database host, and Cloudflare (photo and video storage)
• Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google Firebase (push notifications to phones)

Some of these process data outside the UK; where they do, they use the UK's approved safeguards (e.g. International Data Transfer Addendum).

Stories disappear after 24 hours. If you delete your account (Profile → Delete my account) we remove your profile, posts, stories, messages, photos and videos straight away. Booking and payment records are kept, anonymised, for 6 years because UK tax law requires it.

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email admin@pursuers.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.

Pursuers is for people aged 18 and over. We remove accounts we believe belong to anyone younger.
